St. John Public School District to bring more students back into schools

RESERVE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District will utilize a phased-in approach to bringing more students back into its schools under Phase 3 guidelines.

The phase-in will begin Nov. 9 according to the schedule below:

 

Grade Start Date Schedule
PreK-3 Nov. 9 Will continue their current schedule of Monday-Friday
in person.
4-5 Nov. 9 Monday-Thursday in person
Fridays remain virtual to allow for sanitizing of buildings.
6-8 Nov. 30 Monday-Thursday in person
Fridays remain virtual to allow for sanitizing of buildings.
9-12 Nov. 9 Monday-Thursday in person
Fridays remain virtual to allow for sanitizing of buildings.

 

Parents of current traditional and hybrid model students who do not wish to send their child back to school under this new schedule will be able to opt for full-time virtual learning. Parents have until Oct. 30 to fill out the form provided by their school indicating their choice.
