Business card exchange & Welcome Back BBQ bring networking opportunities

Update:Update: With the new provisions stated by Governor Edwards this weekend relating to the rise of Covid cases, there will be some changes with a couple events. The Business Card Exchange that was scheduled for July 16th will now be held virtually via zoom. Registrants will receive the zoom link to participate once they register.

The Welcome Back BBQ planned for July 30th will be postponed until further notice.

LAPLACE — The River Region Chamber of Commerce invites members to participate in a business card exchange from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16 at Petra Restaurant, located at 1036 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

Appetizers will be available. There is a $10 admission fee. RSVP is required, and seating is limited. Please email admin@riverregionchamber.org.

The River Region Chamber of Commerce will also hold a “Welcome Back Business BBQ” from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at the West Bank Bridge Park, located at 13825 River Road in Luling.

The family friendly event features BBQ food, raffles and drinks. Guests are asked to wear facemasks and practice social distancing.

Admission is $20 per person. Menu items include smoked chicken breast, smoked green onion sausage, jambalaya, Bec’s slaw, baked beans, bread pudding with rum sauce, rolls and assorted soft drinks, water and beer.
