River Parishes Community Theatre moves audition material online

RESERVE — River Parish Community Theatre’s board of directors met to discuss the potential impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 summer production, “Matilda”. The situation will be fluid, and RPCT will adapt to the requests and requirements of local, state and federal government.

Please note the following updates:

  • The children’s workshop, previously scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at St. Peter School will NOT be held. Audition material will be made available through riverparishtheatre.org. The dance, reading and song information that would have been taught at the workshop will be posted before auditions are held.
  • Auditions, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 30 to April 2 at St. Peter School in Reserve, have NOT been moved as of this release. The board is exploring and making contingency plans for alternative audition dates and processes. This includes the potential of having closed, small group auditions by time slots.
  • The show dates for “Matilda” have been moved to July 24-26 and July 29 – Aug. 1. Further information on auditions will be forthcoming.

Please follow River Parish Community Theatre on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter and at www.riverparishtheatre.org.
